Yikes!

It is already Tuesday morning! Yikes!

So much for Sunday night recap or Monday morning quarterback how about Tuesday morning…. I can’t think of anything good right now.

Anywho we did have a great day on Sunday. Somebody asked Gloria and I what makes Sunday a good day for us? Great question. Gloria answered first – for her it is helping people to connect. She loves to be able to help moms connect with moms or certain families with other families that have similar interest or in a particular season of life or circumstance and she was able to do that this past Sunday. For me it is when I get to hear of stories – even little ones of how God seems to be really making a difference in somebody’s life. Now they may not say it that way. They may say to me a like a guy said Sunday – hey I have been inviting a co-worker to bring his family to Elmwood for months and I think he might be here today. If  God was not making a difference in that man’s life, if he did not feel, sense, hear, see that God was relevant for him at Elmwood than he certainly would not be risking his reputation on inviting another friend here.

Guess what? They showed up! I got to meet them and I saw them afterward and the wife said with a smile on her face – we will be back! Now that is a great day!

A great day is also realizing as the Word is given through a broken vessel (yours truly) that the Holy Spirit can speak to the heart of a mom who is sitting there with her world crumbling as her husband has left her and her son and the dad/husband says to both it will be ok – God will work it out. Not great in I feel great, and everything is working out! Great in the fact and knowledge that God is deeply concerned and is ‘on it’ more than I could ever be. Great in understanding and feeling the weight of what is at stake in people’s lives…young ones and older ones!

On another note – this weekend was SPECTACULAR!

The fam went to Brown’s Berry Farm and we had a blast. They have the best homemade cinnamon donuts! We took a hayride, painted pumpkins, walked through a corn maze… and we got to do it with our neighbors which made it a double good time.

Finished up the day working over at renovation church continuing the renovations!

Blown away by everybody that is jumping and helping. A huge task made possible by many people!

All right that’s it for now we got a staff meeting in 10 minutes.

Remember we always have our Ambassador hats on! Let’s be great at it today!
