WOW – Thanks Elmwood you knocked it out of thre park! We gave a little over $1600 in our special Thanksgiving offering yesterday – that is awesome! So we (the Leadership Team) over to True Bethel today and we handed out 100 turkey/fixin's dinners then we ran out of turkey's. So I thought it was a good time to give our check to them – it was awesome when they saw that check – I told them this was a gift from us to them in order to help them acomplish what God told them to do – so they took that check and went down and bought 70 more turkey's and then I went over to the City Mission and our very own Mike Smith (now acting Director of the Mission) gave us 30 turkey's to give to True Bethel so they were able to give away 200 turkey dinners to those in their community.
So proud of how you stepped up and gave to this cause and then I was a little nervous what our general offering would be… knowing that we needed a good offering to cover our general needs and of course God provided through the obedience of His people (you) and we had a GREAT offering!
