Sunday Night Rewind

It was week 2 of our series Renovation Project – Discovering God’s best version of me… and it was another great day!

I don’t know that we have had this kind of energy during any other series that we have done. I have a sense that it is a topic that is near and dear to most no matter what season of life you are in.

I was told that we sold over a 100 journals again today…so that means we have sold over 250 journals in the first 2 weeks which is incredible to me. We have also sold books, and cd’s… I am just blown away by the total engagement that so many at Renovation have made to go farther than ever before in their spiritual formation.

Met several first time guest which can I just say I never get tired of… I am thankful that we have never had a Sunday in Renovation’s history that we haven’t had first time guest. I don’t take that for granted. There are two basic reasons for this… God is working in the hearts of US – those who call Renovation home to inVEST and inVITE in people… and He is working in the hearts of PEOPLE who we have relationships with and have compassion for… so people keep coming and I am so thankful!

Had one single mom tell me a great story of God’s faithfulness… it may be a Renovation Project Story that we tell on video…

Had a great conversation with some young creatives after the 9.19 gathering… telling me how they love the environment that is created every week at Renovation and how it speaks to them and how God is working in their lives… awesome!

We have a “pre-game” huddle with all of our First Impressions/Tech/Band members @ 8.45 each morning for just a few minutes to introduce new team members and to pray together… I love seeing everybody come together for a few moments… We do the same thing over in Renovation Station @ 8.30… if you have not joined a team to serve with your are missing out… I’m just saying!

We had our first College luncheon today in the basement… the first Sunday of the month we will have a free lunch provided and a place for college students to hang out, watch some football, chill… I love our college students and am encouraged by what God is doing in them on campus.

Keep praying for the launch of XCEL… we are doing a lot of stuff this week to get ready for the first week of programs… we still need mentors, teachers, helpers!

The Bills at least looked better today… and that’s all I am gonna say about that!
