Sunday Night Review 08

How about those Bills?!

Wow 5-1 who da thunk it?!

Sitting here watching game 7 of the ALCS – I love game 7′s of anything! I love competition and watching how people respond to pressure. I know BJ is going crazy now that the Sox have come back down 3 games to 1.

Speaking of pressure… we have 6 Sundays to get ready… that means we only have 9 weeks till Christmas! yikes!

Today was a little crazy.

I fell asleep watching the game last night then staggered up the stairs at around 12:30 – hate it when that happens because once I laid back down my mind started going over all the stuff that we have to get done so 1 hr went by and my mind was in full gear – know what I mean? It was like that all night long – I did get a chance to have a lot of one on one time with my FATHER which was cool – able to lift manyyyyyyyyy different people up in pray through out the night! Last time I remember looking at the clock it was 5:45… alarm set at 6:15 double yikes!!

So I got up and got ready then around 7:15 Nick called me – never a good thing – “hey Brek nobody is here from Regal so we are all locked out waiting in the brisk morning air!” Thank the Lord we got a hold of Brittany who cleans the Theater and she was able to let us in!

I was really proud of Dan Trippie this morning. So cool to see God work in a persons life like He has in both Dan and Gina’s lives. God is going to use them greatly. Wes did a great job leading with Nick and the band this morning. I loved the feel of our Gathering this morning, no rush but a level of excitement and anticipation.

Of course I was proud to make it through introducing Alex and Jennifer without melting down like a big baby. So proud of both of them – they have been such an important part of Elmwood. Jennifer was our Campus director through-out our launch and through the first 8 months before giving birth to sweet Amelia! Alex has been (until just lately) our Make Over Team Coach so we are going to miss them BUT we are thrilled to launch them with Restoration Church

Can’t tell you Elmwood/RENOVATION how proud I am of how faithful and generous you have been in giving of your resources over our first 6 weeks of Love Revolution. We are right on with all of our commitments. You got to see the first of many church planting partnerships that we are going to be able to engage in due to your giving. If you were serving in KW (thank YOU!) today you should know that we not only are sending the Adema’s with Restoration Church but we are going to support them (Restoration Church) with monthly ($1000 a month) support during their first year as they launch.

We talked about how we are not going to consume all of the resources from Love Revolution for ourselves but that we wanted to be a generous congregation because (a) we should and (b) people were generous to us.

We will be unveiling some other partnerships both local/regional/globally in the weeks to come! I LOVE it!

Hey we had 28 first time guest today – several were here to support Restoration Church. Love to meet our first time guest. I really enjoy it when I have someone introduce to me a guest that they have inVESTED in and inVITED to hang out with us.

This week is going to be crazy. We moved all of our office stuff into the offices but of course they are not ready. We are painting all of this week SOOOO if you have some spare time stop by and join the fun. Generally there is someone over seeing the work from 8:30 AM till 8:30 at night. You can just SHOW UP and we WILL let you work!

I am taking Josh and Scott with me down to the National CCDA Conference. Mark Cerbone has turned us onto this conference as we are trying to learn what it means to do ministry in an Urban context. SO I am excited about learning and experiencing new things!

Hey let’s remember this week that we always have our “hats on”  people are always looking – lets show them Jesus this week!

Love You Elmwood/RENOVATION!
