Sunday Night Reflections

OH My Goodness – what a great day!

Wow was it just me or was it just jacked up today at Elmwood! Man there was a ton of energy through out worship and then afterwards out in the atrium was ridiculous. I can remember just a few weeks ago when nobody hung out "after church" except the MakeOver Team members and now to see the atrium full of people talking and having sweet fellowship afterwards is just crazy good!

We finished up our 10 week Starting Point series by talking about ETERNITY. We had FOUR – come down afterwards to shake my hand and tell me that they had prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord!!!!! What a party in heaven was struck up this morning around 10:20 – a party that will echo for forever! Now that is worth celebrating! Laughing

Another wow – was all the guest that we had today! People were introducing me to friends, family – co-workers, class-mates. So no wonder we had our biggest attendance in the long history of Elmwood – 327! – we had 257 adults. I knew when I got up and saw the theater packed that it was going to be our biggest day. The thing that jacks me up is that  we are seeing growth not just numerically but spiritually and because of the change that is happening in people's heart and soul thay are telling others! That is what I call obeying the iRULES – inVEST and inVITE.

The man we heard today is Francis Chan – he is a pastor in California http://www.cornerstonesimi.com Their church is doing some AMAZING things and you can also find out how to order your own copy of the movie we watched today. Go on the link and then click on to the JUST STOP and THINK link.

I can't wait to see what our gift to True Bethel will be – I will find out in the morning and then I will let everybody know tomorrow right here.  I love being apart of a community of faith that has a heart for others more than for ourselves! I think it pleases our Father!
