Sunday Night Reflections

We made it back yesterday afternoon from camping with everybody in one piece and with the same number of kids we left with so all in all it was a great trip! I must say this was our best outing ever. The weather was off the chain – we had great camp fires both in the morning and at night which is why you go camping. We had 10 families – 20 adults/28 kids total – I was a little worried going in because of the shere volume of people but it was great, no problems. One of the great benefits of going camping with other families with kids is that your kids have someone else to play with (other than you!) – where can kids play uninterupted and fully safe (except for a few bumps and bruises) from sun-up to sun-down?!Laughing

We had another great day today at Elmwood – special Father's Day edition!!!! Not sure how many first-time guest we had but when they raised their hands it looked like a lot! So cool to meet people that are new and who have been invited by friends to come hang out with us.

I love having the students down front – not sure how cool they think it is but…  I think it is going to be pretty awesome to have some students take part in the Great Sleep Out. This is an event that the City Mission is putting on to raise the awareness of the needs of the homeless. Give us a call at the office this week if you need more info.

I can't believe next week is our third and final installment of the Live Free or Die Hard series. We will be wrapping up our first Checkpoint which is Ultimate Authority.

Hey dads let me challenge you to use the devotional that we gave you today – this is the devotional that I use everyday and I love it . It has some great insights and it does not take all morning to read, i pray that it will be a real blessing to all men.

Our Special Teams rocked it out again today. I love the folks who are a part of making our Sunday morning Gatherings the great environment and experience that is. Let me encourage any who are thinking about getting in deeper into the Elmwood family to talk with us and join a Special Team this week, you will love it!Surprised
