Sunday Night Reflections

Today was an old-fashioned Sunday afternoon picnic with a 3 legged race, a little old school kickball and a HOTTTTTT Sun! WHat a great picnic we had today. It is so cool to look out and see new people that have connected with Elmwood even in the last month since our last picnic. Big thanks to everyone for making it a great time!

We had another great time today in at our 9:19 Gathering as we asked the question – are you INVOLVED? What a great story in Matthew 14 and a great principle we discovered that when we do all that we can do and then give that to God and then He does what only He can do then that is when the extraordinary happens.

We declared what success is going to be for us at Elmwood and what it is not going to be. Success is not just getting as many people to come sit and hear someone speak. Success and a "win" for us is when an unconvinced man, woman or child (about their need for God) comes and hangs out with us and they leave our environments and experiences with a different perspective about God and church. We want to celebrate stories of people who have been in a relationship of some kind with those who are convinced (about their need for God) and because of that friendship people are drawn to a realtionship with their Father God!

We declare a win at Elmwood as – life change, better yet – TRANSFORMATION! We must remember that transformation does not happen over night but it happens one day at a time, one decision at a time.

Hey just a heads up – if you want to go on our first mission trip to Costa Rica in November you need to call us this week at the office and get all of the info. It is going be AWESOME!Cool
