Sunday Night Reflections

So what did I tell you – Pastor Jerry rocked the house today in Aud 14 and everybody said Jenna's last song after the message was off the hook good! It was a great experience for me to go back to Crosspoint and thank them for the incredible impact that they are having through their faithfull giving to the Kingdom Come Campaign!

  • Excited to be partnering with PS #65 and Principal Mathews and her staff of teachers this year. Earl told me everybody was really excited about the chance to do something very simple but helpful like a school supply drive!
  • Thanks to all the new Special Team Members that have gotten INVOLVED over the past couple of weks – we are already experiencing the benefit in several environments especially KW. If you signed an INVOLVED card you should have gotten a couple of phone calls from some Head Coaches – we need you to help us by calling them back and start the process of following through. I know some of you may think you aren't ready and you might be a little fearful – don't be. Trust God that He has something really special for you through serving. If we are going to be a church that reaches the unCONVINCED then we need everybody to join the team and help make all of our environments as special as we can make them.
  • Please keep me and the staff in your prayers. We are really trying to follow God's leading in all that we are doing and planning for this upcoming fall and winter.
  • We had another record number of first time guest today with us at Elmwood! So cool to see the excitement of what is happening at Elmwood starting to spread and draw people together to see what is happening!
  • I was so proud and blessed by our Elmwood Band today – they led worship at Crosspoint in both gatherings and they rocked it – Elmwood style! Nick did a great job leading us and it was really a special time!
  • Can't believe this is it – the last full week of summer – hope everybody enjoys it – for the Cockrell clan we have had a fabulous summer and now I can't wait for the fall to see what God is going to do!
