Sunday Night Reflections 08

What a great day - Father's Day/ Birthday/ Sunday Laughing

We talked about 10 Tools to be a Better Dad – I hope that is was helpful and not discouraging. Find one and work on it – God will honor it and your kids will be better because of your hard, faithful work!

I was surprised by the incredible love and appreciation that so many showed me today. Yes today is my B-Day the big 45, I can't believe it – where have the years gone?Cry Thank you to everybody that gave me a card, gifts… very special for sure!

We got back from a very WET camping trip to beautiful and DRY Buffalo last night! We had heard Friday night about Tim Russert, always a shock when a life so full is ended so abruptly. In this broken world pain, heatbreak/ache will always be with us. I choose to put my TRUST in the ONE who is never surprized or caught unaware.

It was so cool to see a lot of "old" friends of Elmwood today, we had several folks with us today who were a part of the Support Team when we launched Elmwood. We would not be where we are today with all the incredible people who have inVESTED in Elmwood – thank you and we love and appreciate each one of you!

We had our biggest day ever (not counting Jingle Jam at Christmas) at Elmwood – 377! that is crazy on a Holiday or any day. We had a lot of first time guest again today – I love how so many are bringing friends and family – God is moving in the hearts and lives of so many!

Went over and had lunch with Mom and Dad – we went over to Beaver Island Beach (I think that is the name) on Grand Island where they are now living while Dad is working with White Haven Church – always cool to spend Father's Day with your Dad – so thankful for the heritage that he has passed down to me and my two brothers – I have been blessed beyond  measure!
