Sunday Night Reflections 08
Today was a 1 yr milestone for us at Elmwood. It was 1 year ago this weekend that about 75 of us met at 6:00 AM at the Regal Theater to unpack all of the equipment to see how to pull off ‘church in a theater.’ It was that morning that we met Brittney who was cleaning the theater from the night before and she was with us this morning, a year later and with great joy a follower of Christ! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. We will be celebrating our 1 year launch in just a couple of months. It’s like watching your kids getting ‘big’ but it is also necessary.
Today we kicked off our new series called T-LIFE: WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS
We asked the question WHAT IF? What If God wants more for us, as a community of faith and as individuals, more than we can imagine or believe is possible. I am not talking about riches or fame or status. I am talking about eternal, Kingdom stuff! It’s a question that we will continue to ask over these next 7 weeks so I hope and pray that we can grow and discover some new things for a new year!
I just got word today that one of the godliest and impacting men I have had the privilege and honor of knowing in my life, Dr. Wendell Kempton passed from this life into the presence of his Heavenly Father this morning. Dr Kempton has literally had a world-wide impact for the Kingdom of God. I will be commenting more on his life in the days to come.
