Sunday Night Reflections 08

Wow it was soooo good to be back at Elmwood today. I really missed seeing and hearing the buzz that happens before and after our Gatherings each week. We had a lot of first time guest again today, if that is you and you are reading this blog for the first time let me just say THANKS for hanging with us today!

I loved the worship today and the band nailed Linkin Park's "What I've Done"  after the Rob Bell video which by the way I think is my favorite one we have watched so far. If you want more info on Rob Bell and his video's here is the link www.nooma.com

We had a special group of guys with us in KW today. Our intern from this past summer Sean Cronin brought 5 or 6 guys with him from College during their spring break to serve different ministries here in the city. Sean and the guys led KW today and the kids loved it according to my son Caleb! Thanks Sean and the crew!

I am excited about our first Baptism Celebration this Wednesday night at the Buffalo Christian Center. Bring a dish to share and be a part of this special experience at 6:00pm. I get to Baptize my son Caleb and Earl is baptizing his son Solomon – how cool is that?!

Can't wait to see if some of the folks that I am inVITEing to Easter will actually come, I'll pray that yours will come and you pray that mine will come!

Hey just to remind everybody that GroupLife is coming soon! This is going to be our environment that will help all of us to grow in our intimacy with both God and each other so stay tuned and get ready to get inVOLVED!

It's offically here – MARCH MADNESS – I started working on my brackets tonight, a lot of thought and deliberation begins…!

Is Tiger Woods ridiculous? Even if you are not a lover of Golf he is amazing!

Georgia Bulldogs fought their way into the BIG DANCE in an unbelievable way, I know a couple of guys who are pretty happy over at Crosspoint! Laughing

Elmwood keep praying hard about the warehouse at 1800 Elmwood. We are really walking through all the things we should and everybody is really excited about the possibilities of what God may have in store for us in the days to come. It will not be easy, cheap or convienent but doing great things never are. If we are going to take ownership of the "lostness" of our neighborhoods and if we really our going to be a community of faith that wants to have a KINGDOM Impact on our city we will have to sacrifice our time, our energy, our money, our lives – and that is something worth living for!

Have a great week -  inVEST and inVITE and you will EchoLoud!
