Special Post

I would love for who ever is hanging with me to lift up a sweet and wonderful young lady – Cassandra Benson. For those who do not know Cassandra, she was my Administrative Assistant for several years when I was the Family Pastor at The Chapel at Crosspoint. She is now deeply involved with leading King's World at Crosspoint.

She recently had some difficulty and severe pain in her foot and the Doctors thought it might be a torn tendon so they put a cast on her foot to stabilize it. It helped briefly for a few days but the pain returned and then last week she started really having problems with her breathing – thinking it was due to her asthma she did not think to much about it until she practically collapsed on her kitchen floor. They took her to Kenmore Mercy and they ran some test and found that she had multiple blood clots in her leg and both lungs. So she spent 5 or so days in the hospital hoping the Crumatin would help dessolve the clots along with heprin (not sure of the spelling).

They released her to go home I believe on Wednesday but she started having pain in her shoulder and chest on Friday and the Doctor had her go back to Kenmore Mercy to find that their were actually more blood clots and they were in both legs and lungs. She is now in ICU being closely monitored. Of course we all realize the seriousness of Cassandra's condition. Her and her fiance Ken Dietz are to get married in August so there is additional concern for that to happen as planned.

Cassandra and her family our asking for no visitors at this time because of the strong medication they have her on and the Doctors wanting her to stay really quiet and calm so the medication can do what it is designed to do.

I would ask that you pray for God's healing power to touch Cassandra and for this to pass as quickly and with few complications as possible. We know that God is in complete control and has Cassandra in His hands. Please add her family to your prayers as you can imagine they are quite concerned for her.

It is a comfort to know that we can petiton our Father in Heaven at any time, any place, concerning anything.
