Some Scattered Thoughts
Alright I am going to try this again. Man things are crazy busy around the office at Elmwood and also at the Cockrell house like it is at your house! Nothing like homework to add a little stress to the family dynamic. I remember those painful days myself, trying to learn how to add, subtract and then multiply. Tyler Bray was the fastest – he would smoke us all, before I could even begin to think what the answer was he would be shouting it out. It amazes me how three kids from the same gene pool can be soooo different.
All the new shows seem to be hitting the tv screen this week. Talk about coming back around – Bionic Woman – I used to love watching the 6 million dollar man and then the bionic woman – now that was some good tv back in the day! It is always interesting to see what shows will stick. What I wouldn't give for a little old fashioned Rockford Files – man am I old or what!
I am really getting excited about presenting our first MarriedLife Live. This is an environment that is created to equip, enhance and encourage our marriages. If we are going to lower the divorce rate in North Buffalo and make families strong and centered upon the ROCK then we have to be intentional and strategic when it comes to our marriages because great marriages don't just happen!
MLL is an environment that we will do three times a year. We make it an incredible night to spend with your spouse and other couples as we talk about one of six BIG ESSENTIALS that we think our the foundations to building and maintaining a great marriage.
We serve up great desserts and special coffee and other delicious delights! We have a great band that will perform some of your favorite love songs through the decades and we always have some surprises that will sure to make you laugh and at times think or maybe reTHINK life as you know it.
We also design it so that you can bring a spouse or friends who may not feel comfortable coming to a church environment but would come and enjoy a night out. So let me encourage everybody to plan on making MarriedLife Live a priority and to start thinking about what couple to bring with you!
The cost is an extremely affordable $10 per couple so hopefully everybody can afford a ticket and possibly invite another couple to come with you!
I have had several emails or phone calls from people willing and able to join the growing Special Teams force so thanks – remmeber church is not a spectator sport! Everybody needs to get in the game! You will never be the same
