Some Great Wins!
It seems almost everyday that we get to hear and see some great wins in our community.
This morning Toni Benjamin who is the Director of our EXCEL Leadership Center shared a great win regarding a mom in our community that can be pretty difficult to deal with in several ways. Toni invited the parents (mostly moms) to come and participate in XCEL and this mom came and participated which shocked all of us because we have all been exposed to her wrath and vocal tirades (loud & obscene) in the past… Toni said she didn’t drop one F bomb and she brought her volume and tone down to an acceptable level… that is a huge win!
Toni also said that she got a call from a lady that works in a “wrap-around” family program that is looking to partner with ongoing groups/churches/organizations… Toni had come in contact with this lady 3 years ago and so she came across Toni’s business card from 3 years ago and decided to call her this morning to see if we could work together… God is working on our behalf in so many ways… awesome wins to celebrate on a rainy but warmer winter day!
