September 11

Isn’t it crazy how quickly our country, our culture can forget what we swore we would never forget? As I was standing in line to get a cup of coffee this morning I quickly looked at the NY Times to see what they would say about 9/11 – I could NOT find a single headline (only had about 60 sec to look so might have missed it) specifically speaking of the most horrific, tragic event in my generations lifetime. How could that happen?

The people that lost a loved one – not so easy to forget because when we bare the pain, the responsibility, the accountability it is hard to forget. Unfortunately in our rapid transit, what can I do today culture it is to easy for us to forget. I know because it is in my nature to forget – I pray though that we as a nation will never forget and not just about 9/11 but about the shoulders that we are standing on so that we get to live the way we do, good or bad, Red or Blue, Christian or Atheist.

Carlee had just started Kindergarten and now she is in 7th grade – My children have only known America at war.

Let’s be praying for our Country, our Troops our fellow Americans that lost sons, daughters, moms, dads… on that day and days since…
