Reaching Kids!
We are out in Tulsa, OK at a Student Pastor Conference at Church on the Move www.williegeorgeministries.com and I must say 75 degrees feels mighty good! We went to their 180 service for students tonight and it was cool to see how they reach hundreds of students in a relevant and creative way. They make coming to church and learning about God fun and exciting. This church has had a great influence on me over the years in shaping my philosophy towards ministry. Pastor Willie always makes me think much bigger and to dream God size dreams.
Reaching children and students for Jesus is a huge passion of mine. At Elmwood I will always be challenging us to be a church who will serve the next generation. As a follower of Christ one of the ways that spirirtual maturity happens is by serving not just gaining more information. If we are going to reach hundreds and thousands of children and students for Christ then it will take an army of people to do that. A part of our culture at Elmwood will have to be investing time, energy, resources into the next generation. There are lots of ways to do this and I hope and pray that every adult will find a place to serve in KW or in 2T2 once we get that launched.
Thinking about how to reach kids gets me jacked up! I hope it does you too!
