Monday Night Rewind
My blog site has been down the last few days so I have not been able to post anything but back up today.
Had a great time launching our new series called The Battle Within.
We opened up the morning with an inspiring video!! I always loved Rocky!
I met a lady that brought 13 of her family and friends on Easter… that will inspire you!
We are seeing a lot of young couples coming to Renovation… I love that!
We had our 2nd Family Production in Renovation Station and I thought everybody did a great job!
I love being able to see Canon in his environment singing and laughing and learning to love his God!
This is a busy week…
Our Friends Peace of the City is having their annual Fund Raising Benefit at Renovation this Thursday. You can be praying that they can raise the needed resources to have another impactful year of serving kids/teens. Bart Campollo will be the guest speaker… he did an incredible job last year and I can’t wait to hear him again!
Then we are taking our teens on our first real road trip… Aquire the Fire in New Jersey. I have taken several groups to these events over the years and they are always an awesome experience for igniting a fire in the hearts and minds of teenagers! We will be taking 26 students and adults so you can be praying for us!
Joshua and I were talking this morning about how hard the hearts and minds of teens are in today’s culture. It has never been easy but the heart of students today have hardly any (if at all) Godly influence. Parents have no moral platform to teach/mentor/point to a way of life that is full of integrity, honesty, godliness… because the parents our living so far away from God’s best they are simply pointing their kids… this generation of kids farther away from the One who knows best and loves most.
That is why we are investing in the younger kids… grabbing their hearts and minds in 4,5, 6th grade for Christ… it is a slower process but I think the better one… its hard to reach a student that is a junior or senior (not impossible)
