Locker Room Talk
i was getting ready to play a little ball this week when I over heard a conversation in the locker room… somethings never change.
One dude says to another dude “hey you know that jerk I’ve been telling you about at work?”
The other dude says yea, why?
The one dude says “well you know he is one of those born-again Christians… he goes and preaches down at the prison and everything – he got busted for watching porn on the companies computer and time!”
The other dude says … well I guess justice was served!
I did not feel compelled at that moment to surrender up what I did or believed… I was actually embarrassed not of Christ but of one of His followers.
How often does that happen in the course of a day around our city, state, country.
It would serve the Kingdom well if we who claimed to be a part of the Kingdom of God actually lived and acted in a way that would bring honor to it and to the King.
Unfortunately we have all been guilty of bringing shame to the name of Jesus Christ.
Lets set our heart and mind on Him!
