It’s A Beautifullllll Day!

Wow – can't hardly get over how beautiful it is today! The sun is intoxicating and it just feel's great being outside. We have been having different teams come over after our morning gathering and it is so cool to hang with the heroes of Elmwood. We have such an amazing group of people that make everything happen on Sunday morning. I am just overwhelmed with appreciation every week as I see people come early and start putting everything together with such a great attitude! I know that God is going to move in the hearts of others as they start to come to help join the Special Teams to make it sustainable for everybody.

Today was our 3rd Sunday and we had another great day. We unpacked the Value of LOVE today in an interesting way. We looked at the story of Nate Saint (End of the Spear) who with four other missionaries in 1956 decided to try to reach the most violent tribe in the world at that time in Ecuador. Just an incredible story and example of love for us to exemplify.

We had a little train wreck during worship (thanks to me starting on the wrong note) but everybody was very gracious and just jumped back into the song as we actually had to stop and start it over! Gotta love it!

I will post a follow story this week that I did not have the time to tell about Steve Saint (Nate Saints son) and how God showed him that He (God) was committed to three things – His Glory, Redemption, Our Best- so stay tuned.

I am a firm believer that the success of a church is not based upon the number of people that come on a Sunday morning – "church" is more than that but it is a good indicator of the spirit and heart of the people when they bring friends and family to experience worship together.

With that being said I have been so encouraged with the number of people who have come already and who are bringing others to Elmwood. We had 245 today which is really fantastic! We have had over 200 first time guest that we have record of in just 6 gatherings! That is amazing!

God, Truth, Love, Mission – let these things drive our activity this week!
