Good Morning Buffalo!
I have been hanging out this morning in one of my favorite spots – StarBucks – (I just get the reg-coffee). It is always a good spot to watch the neighborhood wake up. I couldn't help but feel moved to pray and lift up the young mom who accidently ran over and killed her 1 yr old toddler yesterday in Eggertsvillle. I read the account in the paper this morning and it caused me to stop and pray for her. As a father of three – it makes you physically ill to even think about a tragedy like that.
There seems to be constant reminders – every day – that this world is broken and hurting. Sometimes I find myself caught up in all the stuff that we Christians call the "deeper" things… and we lose our focus on the BEST thing – which is showing love and compassion to others. Reminds me of a message I heard lately… The greatest of all commands is to Love God and Love Others, now that is easier said than done! I pray that that mom and her family will see and feel the love of God through this extremely difficult season in their life.
