Elmwood Students – What’s up?!

hey teenager - how is your week going after what we discussed sunday about living under the authority that GOD has placed over us? i know that it is not an easy way to live but if we really trust GOD that HE has our very best in mind in all that HE does then we can begin to trust HIM with the authority that HE chooses to place over us. remember we said that "not all authority is godly but all authority is GOD given!"

we also talked about how choosing to live under GOD's authority is a spiritual issue. we can't ask GOD to bless our lives when we are opperating in rebellion to the authority that is over us – especially as it related to our parents. we will be talking more about the issue of the consequences of living a life of rebellion this sunday. we said that when we are asked to do something that our focus should be more on the "who" than the "what." it is real easy to justify our wrong behavior/response when we focus on the "what" instead of the "who."

just know i am praying for you to make wise choices. i know that GOD wants to have a real relationship with every teenager in our circle of influence. the way GOD chooses to work is through people and none of us are to young or old to check out of the "game." GOD wants us to be radically sold out on investing – building relational bridges with those GOD surrounds us with in order to invite them into a life-changing realtionship with their heavenly FATHER.

i want to challenge every student that was with us sunday to come back and to bring a freind and hang out with us down in the pit. i loved having you guys down there with me and the band, you brought some much energy to the place – it was off the chain!

we will be announcing a very cool opportunity for students headed into 7th grade through highschool to get involed in a great cause – we will be having a brief meeting about it after our sunday gathering.

if you have tried to go online and find the devos for this week – we are still working out the kinks – i will keep you posted.

walk wisely and echo loud!
