Crazy Days!

These are crazy days for RENOVATION/Elmwood!

YES we finally got some heat in the RENOVATION Offices tonight!

We have gotten a lot done already this week. Love seeing new faces just showing up even for an hour or two.

Work is being done in our RENOVATION CENTER (school building) where our children ministry will be.

NEW NAME for our children’s ministry coming to you this Sunday – presently known as King’s World soon to be known as…!

Had a GREAT meeting with some pastors on the Westside this morning – love meeting with these guys. We have been praying, strategizing, meeting together in order to see how we the Church can reduce the lostness in our communities especially in regards to our children and teens!

We decided on our times today. We have 5 SUNDAYS to get the word out to everybody!

We are going to have two Gatherings remember starting day one. This will allow our King’s World (soon to be called…) Team members to serve and go to the adult gathering the same day – wow what a day that will be!! They have been rotating every other week since we launched. So that means they have only gotten to experience the adult worship half as much as everybody else. Now we get to fix that issue!

With that being said though we are only going to offer Children Ministry at just one of the gatherings until we get enough new team members to fully support another hour of children’s ministry. It is a major commitment to staff two gatherings for children, we know we need it and want it but we can only do what we have support for. We are praying that God will provide “workers for the harvest” in His timing and I know that He will!

So here are the times for RENOVATION CHURCH

9:19 AM (surprise!) WITH Children Ministry

11:01 AM (surprise!!) WITHOUT Children Ministry

We have spent a lot of times thinking through all kinds of issues – parking, transition time between gatherings, team rotations, parking, children, no children, children of team members having to stay through two gatherings, parking… we have concluded that there is NO perfect solution to any of these issues sooo we are going to the best we can and as we need to and as we can we will tweak things as we go to better fit our Context and our culture.

We have always said that almost everything we do is an experiment so why change now!!

that is it for now!
