Catching Up

This week has been about catching up from last week.

If you were following my Twitter tweets you know that 9 of us flew down to Wilmington NC last weekend to help my brother Jonathan help us by putting on an incredible fund-raising benefit called Buffalo Re[Act]

It was held in the oldest theater on the East Coast called Thalian Hall it dates back to mid 1800′s… people like Buffalo Bill and Woodrow Wilson performed on the stage. It got a major renovation this past summer and so it was in perfect condition and it was amazing.

My brother with the support of his entire team and the  love from his pastor went after helping us raise money and awareness for XCEL in a HUGE way and I must add xcellent way!

We were able to raise over $12,000 which was great and it was a way for us to tell the story of Renovation in a new way and place.

I stayed over on Sunday and spoke at Jon’s church Scotts Hill Baptist Church… it was a great chance to thank them personally for all that they have done in investing their time/talent/treasure in us at Renovation. It was an awesome day to see how God is blowing their doors off in growth and influence in their city.

Meanwhile I heard that Scott Stockton did an incredible job in week 8 of our series Renovation Project. You probably couldn’t tell but Scott and Michelle and the kidos came down with the flu bug Saturday night. Scott showed up and told Nick to be ready with a few extra songs in case he had to leave the stage…yikes and yuck. But God was good and the adrenaline kicked in and Scott knocked it out of the park. Many people stepped into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for the first time which is awesome!

Joshua told me they had a great Family Xperience Sunday. I was sorry I missed it.

Can’t wait for this Sunday as we move into a new phase… Phase 5 Deepening Our Relationships.

No place like Renovation!
