21 Days of Discovery

Yesterday I talked about us getting our hearts and minds and bodies ready to be used of God as we get ready at Renovation to go to 3 Gatherings and 2 Renovation Station experiences starting Feb 6. My prayer is that we don’t just see this as a function of accommodating growth but that this will be a spiritual “mile-marker” for us as individual’s and as a faith community. Not just for this one day but in preparing for what ELSE God will want to do in us, through us and around us in the future!

So with that being said we will start 21 Day’s of Discovery this Sunday.

Some of the things that i believe we would benefit from even through the series we are in now – Facing the Unknown – is to discover how great and mighty and incredible our God is…  discover how large and wide and deep His faithfulness is… discover how we can deepen our faith in God and how that changes the way we live our lives.

I am calling us to give up something that we enjoy and love doing (it may be perfectly acceptable and appropriate) or something that we need to quit because it is not beneficial to us… it could be a type of food or drink or an activity like TV… facebook… PS2… basically saying to God that we will give up something of significance to Him and for Him.

I told everybody that I was going to go on a 21 day Daniel Fast. Some folks had never heard of the Daniel Fast so I thought I would point you to some resources this week to help you determine if you would like to join me on this 21 day journey…

So check out the Daniel Fast blog for more info!

We are also going to really concentrate our efforts as a faith community toward prayer… praying for repentance… for healing… for help… for wisdom… for power and strength… for favor… and much more… we will be praying together for these 21 days of discovery!

You have a few days to determine what you are going to give to God over the next 21 days. Laughing
