Sunday Night Reflections

WOW – what a great day we had – I don't know 'bout anybody else but I really sensed the Holy Spirit meeting with us today. Loved the music that Nick and Jenna (it was great to have Jenna back with us – like "old" times) led us in. I love the song Save Me by www.marcbroussard.com , easy to get stuck in a rut as the song says and I have asked God to "save me" from living in a rut in 08.

I am sure that you could sense the powerful impact that the memorial service that I attended this past Friday had on me. I talked with dad today and he said he also talked about the impact of Dr. Wendell Kempton's memorial service at WhiteHaven today – we both agreed if you weren't jacked up about the mission of God then you might need to check your pulse. This past Friday I traveled down to Lancaster PA with my dad and mom  to attend the memorial service of a great friend and incredible man of God – Dr Wendell Kempton. It was an amazing service as person after person, video clip after clip spoke to how this man had such a profound impact on their life and families. I sat there in total agreement. If you were with us today you know that I talked a little about the impact that his life has had on me. I hope and pray that I would have the faith and the courage to follow and obey my Savior like Wendell Kempton did throughout his life.

It was great to see all of our first time guest with us today as we continued into the second week of our series, T-LIFE: Where amazing happens. We asked the question Can we connect with God? We looked hard at the God of the Bible not neccessarily of our culture. I went through a lot of scripture and descriptors of God (there are many more) and I told everybody that I would post those so here they are:

He is Holy

Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Revelation 4:8

  Jeremiah 23:23-24

Isaiah 44:6
