Shout Out of THANKS to ALL Makeover Team Members
I am sitting here in Auditorium 14 for the last time watching our Makeover Teams work. Just want to say thank you from my toes to my head for all the past and present people who have carried a lamp, pushed a box, made coffee, set up a stage, broken down a stage, put up the projector, tke down the projector, put down carpets, rolled up carpets… thank you is not enough but it will have to do for now!
I know already I am going to be a mess today… even as I write it I am moved deeply because I have been able to observe God of the Heavens move on our behalf.
I am walking around this morning just taking it all in for this final time. When I think about the first time I walked in this place to just see if it would work I remember the excitement that I felt… could we see something significant happen out of a movie theater. Of course we know that God does not need bricks and mortar of any kind to accomplish His purpose but in our short history He used a movie theater.
I know this morning is going to be an emotional roller coaster not because I am tied to a building but because of the people who have been touched by the hand of God through His children here at Elmwood. We are going to try to mark this day in a couple of ways which I pray will be meaningful and significant.
We are ending our history as the Chapel at Elmwood as we started it – committing ourselves to reaching every man woman and child with repeated opportunities to hear and see the life changing message of the Gospel.
Father God will you take this morning we offer it up to You as an offering of Praise and Thanksgiving!
