Off and Waiting…
Well we all got to the airport and as we got here they delayed our flight soooo instead of leaving at 12:30 it's now 3:15 (hopefully) – oh well we had a long lay-over in New Jersey anyway.
Can't believe the great response of Elmwood – we had another $1,500 come in this week for the trip so everybody's ticket is paid for and we have some extra to bless the pastors in Costa Rica and the kids we will impact. Earl went to the Dollar Store this morning to but a bunch of gifts, crafts… for the kids we will be ministering to.
So cool to be able to not only go on our first Elmwood mission trip but the Lord worked it our for Carlee to go with me so it's our first Daddy/daughter mission trip – God is Good for sure!
Warehouse update:
- we spent the last two days looking at the feas-ability of the 1800 Elmwood Warehouse (blue tile front).
- we had several architects, interior design, consultants walk through with us to see really what it would take for us to move in and use this space.
- good news is that everything we need to do we can do…
- bad news is it always cost more and takes longer than you want!
- everybody that we talk to from the community is very positive about a church going into that area, bringing hope and life back!
- trying not to get to excited just yet – still a lot of questions that need to be answered but…
back to the CR trip – they just said a possible delay again – ok Lord you are in charge!
We are supposed to be partnering with the Ladies ministry at Crosspoint to lead a leadership retreat for pastor/staff wives first thing in the morning so once we get there we jump in full throttle!
Not real impressed with AI this season – don't really like any of the girls yet – the young guy – David is pretty good and the dude from Australia is pretty good not much after that – when is 24 coming back that's the real guestion!
